The new building Diagonale in Bjørvika will be the new location for TV2 after they signed a twelve-year deal with A9 Palekaia that is owned by HAV Eiendom AS and Thongård AS.

– This is a big day for TV2 after many years on Karl Johans gate. After a thorough process we decided on new spaces in Oslo and we look forward to functional, central and modern office spaces in both Norway and Bergen from 2018, says Olav T. Sandnes, CEO at TV2.

The discussed alternative was Sundkvartalet at Grünerløkka, but the decision ended up being Bjørvika, right across from the opera, the new Deichmanske Library, the Munch museum and Barcode.

TV2 will be the first tenant in the Diagonale building and will rent approximately half of it. Because of the move, the lease will be significantly longer for TV2.

It is previously confirmed that TV2’s office in Bergen will moved to Media City in Bergen.
