Otto Donner has covered the Nordic region since 2007. Prior to M&G he spent almost five years with BMO Global Asset Management in Stockholm where he was responsible for institutional and wholesale business development and client relationship management across the Nordic region, and five years with East Capital in Stockholm, where he headed up the Nordic Sales team.

Commenting on the appointment Robert Heaney, M&G Investments said: “Since the opening of our Stockholm office in 2012 M&G’s Nordic business has seen strong growth and this recruitment reflects M&G’s continued strong commitment to the region.  We are very happy that Otto is joining the team – his extensive experience with and knowledge of investors across the region will be key for our future growth”

M&G currently has mandates of c.€3.5bn and c.30 institutional clients across the Nordic region, consisting mainly of large pension and insurance investors in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. The firm also recently onboarded its first institutional client in Iceland.

M&G’s business in the Nordics has been focused mainly on alternative credit, private debt, infrastructure equity and real estate but it is also looking to expand its business into the more traditional investment funds business given M&G’s capabilities across liquid and alternative asset classes.

With Otto Donner joining the team, M&G now has 5 people on the ground in Stockholm, which includes those working in origination and asset management for M&G Real Estate and Infracapital, the infrastructure equity arm of M&G.
