The factory expansion comprises 10,177 gross square meters. A separate contract has already been signed for a parking lot, which NCC will construct on the factory grounds. The factory is located in Vantaa, a neighboring city to Helsinki.

The expansion is scheduled for completion during the third quarter of 2019 given the required city planning permission.

“We are very pleased to conclude this agreement with Murata. We are looking forward to seeing the end result of our joint long-term planning and project development,” says Mika Soini, Head of NCC Building Finland.

Murata, whose group headquarters are located in Kyoto, Japan, is a global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of advanced electronic materials and components, and high-density modules. Murata products are used in a wide range of applications from mobile phones, home appliances and automotive applications to energy management systems and healthcare devices. Murata’s Finnish operations in Vantaa include a plant as well as research & development.

The order is expected to be registered in the second quarter of 2018 in the NCC Building business area.
