Nordea is the largest financial group in the Nordic region and one of Europe’s largest banks.
“We are very pleased with the lease agreement made with NCC about Frederiks Plads. We look forward to moving into the new premises and being able to invite our customers into a new location, which also includes improved parking and meeting facilities,” says Claus Pedersen-Bjergaard, Regional Director of Nordea.
Frederiks Plads II comprises approximately 15,000 square meters of leasable space, which corresponds to about 825 workplaces. The project has been designed by the architect C.F.Møller and developed in accordance with NCC’s attractive Company House concept, which includes shared service offerings.
“With a tenant such as Nordea, Frederiks Plads is establishing itself as an even more attractive office area and is contributing to the development of the city center of Aarhus,” says Ole Faurby, Head of NCC Property Development Denmark.
Frederiks Plads II is being developed and carried out by the NCC Property Development business area. Construction start is scheduled for the third quarter of 2019. Following the lease with Nordea, the leasing rate is approximately 57 percent calculated on leasable space. The construction contract will be carried out by NCC Building Nordics and will be registered among orders in the first quarter of 2019.
The project is expected to be ready for occupancy in 2021.
Frederiks Plads II is NCC’s second office project in the area and the intention is to certify the project in the international DGNB Certification Systems gold category for sustainability. NCC’s objective is to minimize the environmental impact and add value for customers and society with environmentally certified buildings, attractive workplaces and inclusive urban environments.
