This stage comprises a three- and four-part structure from four to six storeys above ground, and garage, bicycle parking, storage rooms and technical rooms below ground. The 116 one, two and three bedroom apartments vary in size from 43 to 97 square metres. There will be several communal roof terraces with plants and various seating arrangements, and outdoor areas designed as a meeting ground for residents with activities for people of all ages.

“At Vollebekk we have been part of developing the project from the very start. All parties have cooperated well to ensure an optimum and comprehensive building process. We would once again like to extend our thanks for the confidence shown in us, and that we have the opportunity to convert Vollebekk into an attractive residential community,” says director Anders W. Haugen of Veidekke Bygg Oslo.

Vollebekk is in the Bjerke district in eastern Oslo, and was for many years known as an industrial area. This is now changing thanks to a major urban development project in which large sections will be redeveloped from the ground up. When it is complete, the new residential project will comprise more than 800 homes in total, with some commercial premises. The project will be a green and urban district just 13 minutes by Metro from Jernbanetorget, while at the same time close to scenic hiking areas and Lillomarka.

Construction work starts in mid-November, with completion scheduled for the autumn of 2021.
