Michael Byrgesen Hansen has worked in Heimstaden since April 1st, 2019 as Head of Asset Management and has been the interim Country Manager since January. He has extensive experience from the real estate and property management industry from various domestic and international companies. Prior to joining Heimstaden, Michael Byrgesen Hansen spent 14 years with the INGKA Group, covering several positions such as Development Director in Europe, Managing Director in Spain and European Regional Asset Manager.
Michael Byrgesen Hansen will formally start April 1st, but as the interim Country Manager, he is already well underway with its new tasks.
Heimstaden Denmark has grown rapidly in Denmark the last few years, especially since the acquisition of Nordic Property Management in October 2017 and the subsequent insourcing of all administration and services. Today, Heimstaden Denmark covers a portfolio of 136 properties and 10 new development projects with a total of app. 10,000 residential units and 165 commercial units. The Danish organization counts 125 employees, working from the offices in Copenhagen and Horsens.
