“It is very gratifying that through this let, we can contribute to developing public services in central Rosendal, which is completely in line with our ambition of a commercial ground floor with care and healthcare in focus. We are really looking forward to welcoming more companies in the future that want to be involved in and contribute to a place with health and wellbeing in focus,” says Ruby Resman, Business Area Manager, Commercial for Wallenstam in Stockholm and Uppsala.
Rosendal Square will become a lively hub in Rosendal featuring services, recreation activities, stores and restaurants. All possible services that are needed for everyday life are within close reach. Between the square and Stadsskogen, a multi-use block is planned, which will offer sports halls for a planned school, as well as libraries, premises and apartments.
“When we complement Uppsala with new districts, proximity to services, both commercial and public, is a basic principle. In Rosendal, the residents should have the most important things within a walking distance. With housing, stores and now a healthcenter, a complete district is taking shape here,” says Erik Pelling (Social Democratic Party), Chairman of the Municipal Executive Board.
As Sweden’s largest private healthcare provider, Praktikertjänst is represented with more than 1,000 clinics all around the country, through 82 healthcare centers, 120 specialist clinics, 40 rehab clinics and 825 dental clinics.
“It feels really great to contribute to and to be part of the development of Rosendal. We look forward to welcoming Uppsala residents to brand new patient-adapted premises, and to develop care in central Rosendal on the basis of good quality, friendly care and high availability. Looking ahead, we also have plans for a dental clinic close to the square,” says Fredrik Ahlström, Head of Business Development at Praktikertjänst.
Praktikertjänst’s healthcare center and child healthcare center will be situated in the ground floor of the Flanören project, which in total will consist of 156 new rental apartments and additional commercial floor space with care and healthcare in focus.
