The property is pr. March 1, 2021 sold to SBB, which has very extensive experience in managing buildings for public purposes - including i.a. educational institutions. SBB, which is active throughout the Nordic region with a property portfolio of approx. SEK 90 billion, made its entrance in Denmark in May 2019 together with their Danish partner Rubik Properties. This trade is thus SBB’s tenth in the series of Danish acquisitions that include tax buildings in resp. Randers and Svendborg and the SOSU school in Fredericia.

Ny Allerødgård, a proprietary farm from 1850, was thoroughly rebuilt in 2003 and renovated into a domicile property for the then real estate company Sjælsø Gruppen A / S. In 2015, Kongeegen A / S took over the almost 5,000 m2 property, after which it was rebuilt and furnished for school use and rented out to Allerød Private School on a 17-year lease.

"Ny Allerødgård is a very nice and exciting property that fits well into our portfolio. The school is our 6th property in the education sector in Denmark, and the investment must be seen as a natural part of our long-term strategy to increase our portfolio in Denmark," says Ilija Batljan, CEO of SBB.

For Ib Henrik Rønje, CEO of Kongeegen A / S, it has been important that the school came into competent hands:

“The conversion from domicile to school was a very exciting process, and the collaboration with the school's management was and is very satisfactory. We therefore wanted the property to come into good hands, which is why we are incredibly happy with the agreement with SBB, which is extremely competent in this particular segment. The sale also provides an opportunity for new investments, and we already have a couple of projects in the pipeline."

The transaction of Allerød Private School has again been carried out by SBB together with their Danish partner Rubik Properties and legal adviser Bech-Bruun, while Kongeegen has been advised by Cushman & Wakefield.
