AA Logistik is expanding within industrial logistics and is already an important partner for many of the companies at Finnslätten that coordinate, stock and transport goods. The Finnslätten area in Västerås is already a place where world-leading companies are developing the products of the future. The area will be developed into a meeting place comprising a unique mix of businesses, research, education, services and housing – combining to create the future.
“This is an important step in the continued development of Vision Finnslätten. In the future, we want to minimise heavy transport in the area, and have therefore strategically placed AA Logistik’s facility adjacent to the major traffic routes. The fact that AA Logistik is already our tenant and wants to continue to develop with us and the entire Finnslätten area is especially pleasing,” says Mats Eriksson, Regional Manager Mälardalen at Kungsleden.
The 32,000 sq.m. logistics facility will mainly comprise warehouses (some high-bay warehouse space with a ceiling height of 24 metres with the remainder of the space at height of 10 metres), but also some offices.
“We look forward to welcoming the future together with our customers at the same time as being an important part of the continued development of Vision Finnslätten. Together with Kungsleden, we are investing in sustainability, and the building will therefore mainly be powered by solar energy. We also have a goal of transitioning to an entirely electric vehicle fleet in the coming years,” says Åsa Granlund, CEO of AA Logistik.
Occupancy is expected in summer 2024 and the lease contract has a term of 15 years. Kungsleden is acquiring the land from the City of Västerås.
