Balder’s First Norwegian Purchase

Norway — Balder has now made their first acquisition in Norway – Balder acquires Hedmark University of Applied Sciences for MNOK 700 (€75M).

The property is mainly leased to the Norwegian State on a 24-year lease. The property was finished in 2010 and currently holds 8,000 students.

Balder has for a long time investigated the possibilities of also owning properties in Norway. The company previously owns properties in Sweden, Denmark and Finland.

“We hope that this is the first step in becoming a significant property owner in all Nordic countries” says Balder’s CEO Erik Selin.
