Through the transaction, Slättö makes its first residential investment in Finland. The joint venture will be owned to equal parts by Slättö Core Plus and Peab and the parties have an ambition to grow the portfolio, focusing on larger cities in Finland. This initial acquisition consists of two housing projects in Vantaa and Turku with a total of 178 apartments and 705 sqm of commercial area in strong communication locations. Closing is expected by the end of 2023. All properties are being constructed by Peab and will be environmentally certified.

"For Slättö, this transaction is an excellent opportunity to accelerate our investment strategy in Finland. Establishing a strategic joint venture with a skilled project developer aligns perfectly with our strategy on how to continue to grow geographically outside Sweden within green residential properties," comments Christian Bratt, Head of Residential at Slättö.

"It is great to begin cooperation with Slättö in Finland, as well. These projects to be built are also important for Peab in Finland in terms of environmentally certified housing projects," comments Juha-Pekka Eskola, Head of Housing Development at Peab in Finland.
