The properties have a total leasable area of 71,000 sqm and encompass approximately 1,200 apartments located in Stockholm and the Öresund region. The purchase price is approximately SEK 2 billion (€212M).
“This portfolio fits well with our long term investment in apartments, together with the Third Swedish National Pension Fund” says Balder’s CEO Erik Selin.
Fredrik Eliasson, Fund Manager at Aberdeen:
“The divestment will take place earlier than initially planned since we have already exceeded the Fund’s goal yield and the investors’ expectations. We can establish that we have been successful in the choice of both cities and objects, which has strengthened the value growth. It is gratifying to see that Aberdeen’s local property competence together with the investors’ confidence and strong commitment has lead to us being able to utilize the beneficial market situations for housing properties”.
