– After our entry into Denmark in 2021, with the acquisition of Næstved Lavpristræ, we are now establishing the Byggmax brand in our fourth market. Today is a historic day for our expansion effort in Denmark, so it feels very exciting, says Mattias Ankarberg, CEO of Byggmax.

– In 2021, Byggmax acquired Næstved Lavpristræ A/S, a Danish owner-managed low-price building trade with four stores in Zealand and a large e-commerce. This is the first store to open in Denmark under the Byggmax brand. That we can today offer all Danish home fixers in the Vejle area really good building products - obviously adapted for the Danish market and at really low prices - feels fantastic, says Mikael Bengtsson, country manager for Byggmax in Denmark.

– I look forward to inviting all of Vejle and the surrounding area to the opening. We have worked hard to get the store ready so we can give you as a customer the best DIY experience. Proof of that is that soon it will be possible to shop from home online - with home delivery or free pick-up in store - where we collect the goods for the customers in the store, says location manager Mathias Mayn.

The premises at Stiftsvej 41A in Vejle measure 10,000 square meters with a spacious and car-friendly drive-in. This makes the purchase of heavy building materials efficient and easy for all Danes who are keen to build. The store will be open seven days a week - weekdays 08:00 - 19:00 and 09:00 - 16:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.

Byggmax sees a potential in opening 20-25 stores in Denmark over the next five years, with the store in Vejle being the first.
