Värmdö Köpcentrum, the dominating shopping centre in the municipality of Värmdö, has been divested by a company controlled by Rockspring Property Investment Managers LLP (“Rockspring”) and Vencom to Alecta, the largest occupational pension company in the Nordic region. The real estate value in the transaction amounts to SEK 421 million and the closing of the transaction took place on the 8th of July, 2016.
Värmdö Köpcentrum is the core of a retail location with approximately 50 stores in the municipality of Värmdö. In connection with the transaction, Alecta and Vencom are starting a new co-operation. Vencom will as a consequence of the new co-operation continue to have the overall responsibility for the development and the asset management of Värmdö Köpcentrum.
