NREP announces that it has promoted Toke Clausen to Partner as it continues to bolster its leadership team to support the wider business’ growth. Toke Clausen’s promotion follows a pivotal period of expansion for NREP, which has entered new geographies and business areas over the past years that align with its mission to solve challenges in the wider urban eco-system.
Toke Clausen has been with NREP since 2015, serving in various senior investment roles over the past eight years, the latest of which has seen him head up the business’ newest real estate segment: Office. Toke Clausen has been key to the growth and strategic direction of NREP’s office division, which includes its Woods flexible workspace brand, amassing an 800,000 sqm portfolio of nearly 100 assets, managed by a team of 33 people. Toke Clausen joined NREP from Boston Consulting Group.
“It’s been a privilege to be a part of NREP’s success over the past eight years and witness first-hand the impact that’s possible when great minds, an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion to innovate collide. NREP’s earned reputation within the real estate industry has facilitated our success as we’ve expanded within new markets and sectors; I now look forward to further leveraging the NREP approach as I assume my new position and help extend our mission of putting environmental and social impact at the heart of our value creation strategy,” says Toke Clausen, Partner and Head of Office investments at NREP.
The recognition of Toke Clausen’s contribution to NREP illustrates the company’s tradition of promoting home-grown team members to partners and represents the third longstanding NREPer to assume the partner role the past year, following the two internal promotions of Didde Maria Kristensen and Alfred Eklöf. NREP’s partner group has grown in line with the wider business, which has added 180 new members to its 680-strong team across eight countries over the past year.
“It’s a moment of great pride to welcome a longstanding and proven NREPer to our partnership. Toke’s contribution to the business’ success, in particular that of our office segment, is undeniable as he epitomises many of our core values, whilst sharing the leadership team’s commitment to sustainability and a vision to leave behind a positive impact. We look forward to supporting Toke in taking his potential to new levels to the benefit of our entire business and the stakeholders that we serve,” says Claus Mathisen, CEO of NREP.
