The area will be known as Tegholm Brygge and encompasses a total area of 18,000 sqm.

“NCC is highly committed to building a sustainable society. We are one of the leading construction companies in terms of certified buildings. We are proud to be building sustainable rental units for TDC Pensionskasse,” says Palle Bjerre Rasmussen, Head of NCC Building Denmark.

The construction project will gain DGNB certification. The advantages of DGNB certification is said to be that buildings are future-proofed and resource waste is minimized, entailing lower energy, operation and maintenance costs.

“Real estate investments are, in our opinion, one of the most attractive investments. We expect the investment in Teglholm Brygge to clearly provide a good return on investment, and it supports TDC Pensionskasse´s total pension fund investment strategy to increase our residential exposure in the Danish capital region,” says Leif Stidsen, CEO of TDC Pensionskasse.

All of the housing units in Teglholmen will be rental units and comprise one to four-bedroom apartments ranging from 79 sqm to 144 sqm.

The detailed development plan has been approved. Construction has commenced at the start of October 2016 and is scheduled for completion in November 2018.
