Obos Living Lab is now rising at Vollebekk in Oslo, and will become a living laboratory for future housing, with the resident in the center. Here, 36 apartments will be filled with new ideas, concepts and solutions.

Rapidly growing cities, scarcity of land and a great need for sustainable solutions are challenging the way we live. At the same time, technological developments offer many new opportunities. But how are we going to live in the future?

The goal is to find solutions that give people a simpler and better life.

"We want to test new solutions in a real environment, and the test lab gives us a unique opportunity to do this. The tenants here will contribute with experiences along the way and participate in the research projects", says project manager Ingemund Skålnes at Obos.

The first occupants move in when the building is completed in 2021.
