Sweden — Citycon has signed an agreement to sell the shopping centre Strömpilen in Umeå to Niam.

Norway — Eirik Thrygg, member of Citycon’s Corporate Management Committee, is leaving the company for a position as CEO at Höegh Eiendom.

Finland — Citycon has entered into an agreement to sell a 60,000 sqm portfolio of 13 grocery store properties located across Finland to a Finnish property fund for a total value of approximately €76 M.

Sweden — Citycon and NCC take the next step with the development of the new shopping centre Mölndal Galleria. The investment project will begin its construction phase in August now that the zoning has gained legal force.

Finland — Swedish company Hemsö is purchasing a school currently under construction in Pori, Finland, for €56.5M. Hemsö already owns 17 properties in Finland.

Finland — Citycon has entered into contracts to divest two properties located in Tikkurila in Vantaa and Kallhäll in Stockholm. The total sales price for the two properties is around € 14 M.

Norway — Citycon acquires Sektor Gruppen, Norway’s second largest shopping centre owner and manager – consolidating Citycon as the largest listed shopping centre specialist in the Nordics and the third largest listed continental European operator.

Finland — Citycon´s Iso Omena shopping centre and the connected Matinkylä Metro station in between Espoo and Helsinki, Finland, have reached their rooftop height. The first phase of Iso Omenas extension will be completed in August 2016.
