Johan Bergman has decided to take on the role of Chairman of Niam AB and Chairman in all of Niam’s funds. Fredrik Jonsson, the current CIO of Niam, will assume the role of CEO and take over responsibility for the company’s operations effective July 1, 2017.
Niam has signed an agreement to acquire all shares in the private property company HD Ejendomme A/S. The company owns and manages a real estate portfolio that has a total value of about EUR 560M.
Skanska has signed an agreement with Niam on the transfer of the office property Aviabulevardi I in Vantaa, Finland. The total value of the contract is EUR 36M. Skanska’s share of the deal excludes land and is worth EUR 31M. The divestment will be recorded by Skanska Commercial Development Nordic in the first quarter 2017. The transfer of the property is scheduled to take place before the end of April 2017.
Niam has acquired a fully let office property with a lettable area of approximately 16,000 sqm for EUR28.1M (MDKK 209). The property is located in Borgervænget, in the northern part of Copenhagen, with close proximity to the train station and easy access to the city center as well as the main highway.
Niam has entered into an agreement to sell a residential portfolio of approximately 13,800 sqm to Heimstaden, a Swedish property company for a price of approximately DKK 422 million (€56.6 million).
Niam has acquired six office properties in Helsinki from Elo Mutual Pension Insurance Company in two independent transactions. The portfolio comprises a total lettable area of approximately 77,000 sqm. The transaction value was over €160 M.
Swedish Niam has purchased 461 apartments in Aalborg through two separate deals.
Heimstaden purchases nine residential properties in Copenhagen from Niam, for DKK 1.4 billion (€188M).
Niam has purchased a property on Østbanegade in Copenhagen, encompassing approximately 30,000 sqm office and retail area as well as a parking space of approximately 12,000 sqm.
