The terminal, which will be around 6,000 square meters, will contain four gates and handle both domestic and foreign flights. The garage of around 3,000 square meters will contain a fire station, workshop, washing facilities and space for the maintenance vehicles necessary for running a modern airport.

Peab will also build the infrastructure accompanying the terminal like parking spaces and a connecting road to the Swedish Transport Administration’s new route for highway 1053. The project also includes building a seven kilometer water and wastewater pipe from Tandådalen to the new airport.

The project is a turnkey contract and construction has already begun. It is expected to be completed in August 2019.

The project will be order registered in the second quarter of 2018.
