The residences are student apartments located directly across from the National Gallery of Denmark. The building is iconic – not only due to its architecture and location but also because of its history as the former headquarters of the Danish State Railways (DSB).

The DIS Foundation (Danish Institute for Study Abroad), which has purchased the property, intends to use it for the foundation's own students.
