The project involves the demolition of an old dentistry building, where new education and research facilities will be built. The new building will cover 12,000 square meters spread over four floors above ground and two floors below ground.
Helsekampus Årstadvollen is part of a future-oriented project initiated by the University of Bergen. The establishment of a knowledge cluster is an important part of the university's strategy to further develop its research and education environments and to create innovative care solutions for the whole human being, inter alia through interdisciplinary interaction.
Construction starts in September 2018 with completion scheduled for May 2020.
