The property is leased on a long-term contract to Rezidor Hotels.
The divestment gives Avinor a gain of MNOK 1,300 (€138 M).
“We have owned the property since it was erected in 1998 and it has been an exciting and profitable investment for Avinor. We divest the property as a part of the financing of the company’s comprising investments now and in the upcoming years” says Dag Falk-Petersen, CEO at Avinor.
“Radisson Blu at Oslo airport is a large and very long-term investment for us as a family owned business. We are happy that we reached the furthest among the competition. We paid a high price but we take over a nice hotel and feel certain that it will continue to deliver good yields going forth – especially when Gardemoen is developed further”, says Ole G Ottersland.
Heilo Eiendom has advised Avinor in the divestment.
“We have advertised the property widely to Norwegian and international investors through our collaboration with Savills. A large amount of investors has shown an interest and we are happy to carry through the divestment after a very professional process from both buyer and seller”, says Trond Sejersted Bødtker at Heilo Eiendom AS.
Avinor owns 46 airports and is Norway’s largest airport owner.
