Situated in northwest Stockholm, Bromsten industrial area will now undergo a transformation into Bromstensstaden. A large area of rental apartments will be constructed here, close to Spånga town centre, transport links and green areas.
“I’m delighted to carry out this project together with NCC. Since the very beginning of the project planning process, we’ve built up a good working relationship between the organizations, and we now have the opportunity to deepen this partnership,” says Helena Elonsson, Partner and Project Development Manager at Slättö.
NCC has been commissioned to construct 584 new rental apartments across three blocks comprising six buildings. The well-planned apartments will range from studios to three-bedroom units featuring balconies or terraces.
The apartments will be constructed according to Sweden Green Building Council Silver level, which places strict demands on such aspects as low energy consumption, proper ventilation and good materials selection.
“Through a close and creative collaboration at an early stage, we have developed a housing product that is extremely cost efficient from both a technological and constructability standpoint. In the beginning of next year, we will break ground for these attractive rental apartments in the new development area of Bromstensstaden,” says Henrik Landelius, Business Area Manager of NCC Building Sweden.
Construction is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2022 and the first tenants are expected to take up occupancy in spring 2023.
The assignment is valued at approximately SEK 665 million and will be registered among orders in the fourth quarter of 2021 in the NCC Building Sweden business area.
