Just north of Bekkestua center a rundown workshop hall is going to be replaced by 30 apartments and eight terraced houses with a gross area of 3,700 m2. The apartments will be two to four rooms of 44 to 149 m2. The terraced houses will have three floors and be around 155 m2. A parking garage will also be built, under the apartments.

The homes will be built in an existing area with houses and outdoors share a yard and green spaces. The yard will be car free and divided into different zones with plants, places to sit and a playground.

“We look forward to transforming this area into a pleasant residential environment for the people of Bekkestua. The project will be considerate to existing homes and the nearby woods,” says Kjetil Runningen, Region Manager Peab.

The project is a turnkey contract. Construction is expected to start in the spring of 2022 and occupation is planned for the autumn of 2023.
