Outrages against the ground rent: "unethical and unreasonable"

More than 2,000 tenant-owner associations in Stockholm pay a ground rent fee to the city annually. A proposal to reduce the redemption price to 85 percent of the land assessment value is on the Development Board's table. But that proposal is not given much in the association Land Lease Appeal. <br />
– Offering a 15 percent discount on a land value that far exceeds what is possible for a tenant-owner association to pay is like "pinking in the sea", says Claes Kjellander, chairman of the association Tomträttsupproret.
