Finland — NREP announces the acquisition of the Eteläesplanadi 2 office building in Helsinki from Allianz. Eteläesplanadi 2 is a landmark building located next to the waterfront in Helsinki CBD.

Nordic — Allianz Real Estate, on behalf of Allianz companies, and Heimstaden Bostad inject EUR 650 million in new equity in their existing Swedish joint venture, using the proceeds to repay debt. Simultaneously, Allianz and Heimstaden Bostad form a new joint venture comprising Allianz’s German residential real estate portfolio.

Nordic — Allianz Real Estate has further expanded its European logistics footprint with the acquisition of a three-asset, Grade A logistics portfolio in the Nordics through a sale-and-lease back forward transaction with Danish transport and logistics leader DSV. Two of the assets, in Denmark and Sweden, have recently been completed by DSV, with the remaining property in Denmark set to finish construction in Q4 this year.

Finland — Carnegie rents office premises from Allianz Real Estate on Eteläesplanadi in Helsinki.

Nordic — Allianz Real Estate opens up a Stockholm office to strengthen their presence in the Nordics. At the same time the German giant appoints Jenny Lindholm to Head of Operations in the market.

Sweden — Novi Real Estate and Areim have together been assigned by Allianz to co-manage the Gångaren 11 property on Kungsholmen.

Sweden — Allianz Real Estate has closed a debt transaction in Sweden by providing a MSEK 690 (approx. EUR 73M) loan for the refinancing of the Bergvik shopping center in Karlstad. This also represents the first direct debt investment for Allianz Real Estate in Sweden and with Eurocommercial Properties.

Sweden — The Swedish wind power developer Kraftö are now initiating the construction of Sörby wind farm, comprising 122 MW for the international insurance company Allianz, who acquires their third wind farm in Sweden. The park, that will consist of 37 Vestas V117 3.3 MW windmills, is calculated to be put into operation during the fall of 2016. Newsec has been exclusive advisors in the deal.
