The neighborhood that is also the home of City Hall is located near the city center of Trelleborg. Other than the building rights of a commercial property and warehouse, the acquired properties also include the so-called Thelinska Magasinet. The acquisition is from a bankruptcy estate and the largest tenants in the property are currently H&M, Swedbank and Region Skåne.

“We are very pleased to be able to contribute to Trelleborg's urban development. Trelleborg's municipality will meet an interesting future with a focus on growth and interesting urban construction projects. We see great development potential in the properties and will now begin the planning of the area with a focus on community service” says Robert Cardell, Project Developer at Hemsö.

“It is with great joy and confidence that we can conclude that the work with the Herkules block can now proceed. Abitare's bankruptcy has slowed down the development in Trelleborg's most central neighborhood, and now we warmly welcome Hemsö and look forward to being a part of the transformation” says Mikael Rubin, chairman of the municipal executive committee.

“Trelleborg is in a fascinating and expansive phase, and the Herkules neighborhood is one of the key players” Municipal Manager Fredrik Geijer says and continues:

“The City Hall is located in the middle of the neighborhood, and we are now looking forward to developing Trelleborg's city center into an attractive place to live and work, together with Hemsö.”
