Zengun’s assignment encompasses the initial project planning as well as the construction of the framework, roof and walls of the housing units, a complete shell structure ready for fit-out. The scope has now expanded to include the internal fit-out and completion of the units with occupancy scheduled for 2022.
With a floorspace of around 31,000 square metres, the units are being constructed in two blocks. They comprise an extension above Bilia’s new full-service facility located in Haga Norra, which is also being completed by Zengun.
“We established operations at the site in spring 2018 with the initial project planning for Bilia’s facility, and we have driven the work forward through several stages from the point when it was only a hole in the ground. I view the continuation of the assignment, with the completion of the homes we are building, as confirmation of our ability to collaborate with our customers and other stakeholders. Our strong project focus and collaborative approach are key to our success,” says Sture Nilsson, Managing Director of Zengun.
“At Haga Norra, we have the opportunity to develop tomorrow’s homes through our own concept, Brabo Active, in combination with traditional urban attributes. We are passionate about urban development, and about creating active and sustainable urban districts. The new agreement with Zengun is important, our partnership is founded on a long-term relationship and commitment,” says Fredrik Mattsson, Managing Director of Brabo.
Housing for around 2,000 people is planned for the new urban district Haga Norra. The aim is to create a vibrant city district that is sustainable for the long term, which also includes services and workplaces.
