“We warmly welcome both PDL Group and the Peab School as tenants. Both businesses add value to Högsbo, which is an area we strongly believe in for the future. The area is centrally located and characterised by entrepreneurialism with many new business start-ups,” says Ulrica Sjöswärd, Regional Manager Gothenburg/Malmö at Kungsleden.
Kungsleden will refurbish the premises to be leased by the PDL Group into a 5,400 sq.m paddle tennis arena with 17 courts that will open in 2020.
“We are very pleased to be able to open in Högsbo. It is an exciting area that we have been looking for premises in for a while now, so it feels great that it is all finalised. Our goal is to take paddle tennis to the next level – it is a fantastic sport with significant potential and we hope that people who both work and live in the immediate area will appreciate the sport,” says Henrik Söderberg, CEO of PDL Group, which is Sweden's leading player in paddle tennis with former tennis professional Jonas Björkman and artist Måns Zelmerlöv among its founders.
The Peab high school, which trains carpenters, masons, and construction and concrete workers, has also signed a leasing agreement and will establish itself in Högsbo. The school will rent 1,900 sq.m in the same property and will move in during the autumn 2020.
Both tenants will rent premises in the property Högsbo 27:9, located at August Barks gata 10.
