Sandgärde has a background as a civil engineer from KTH. He started at Vasakronan in 2010 as Deputy Head of Properties and then took a role as Business Developer Retail. For a period he was Head of Property before taking on the role of Head of Commerce in Stockholm.
"During his ten years at Vasakronan, Martin has shown that he has both a business acumen and a recognized good leadership. With his experience and competence, he will contribute to driving development in Business Area North in a good way," says Ronald Bäckrud, Head of Stockholm region.
Vasakronan's Stockholm region consists of four business areas, City, North, South and East. The North business area comprises a portfolio corresponding to approximately SEK 17 billion consisting of properties, primarily in Solna, Sundbyberg and Kista.
Martin Sandgärde will take up his new position on 1 December.
