The new tower block is the second stage in the expansion of the student housing area Lappkärrsberget. The building will be nine stories including the basement which will house a preschool, café and supplementary spaces like a bicycle shed.

“We are pleased to be entrusted with building more of Campus Lappis and contributing to the development of the student housing area. It feels important to be a part of building up the community and creating pleasant housing for students,” says Lars Enroth, Region Manager Peab.

The building will be certified according to Miljöbyggnad, level Silver. The façade will made of brick in the same style as the four block towers of the first stage which Peab will soon hand over to Stockholms Studentbostäder.

“Campus Lappis is one of our, and one of Sweden’s, largest student housing areas where more than 3,000 students from around the world live. We want to develop the area and the new apartments are a vital part of this work. Doing it together with Peab is really great and we look forward to continuing our good collaboration,” says Ingrid Gyllfors, MD Stockholms Studentbostäder.

The project is a turnkey contract and designing starts immediately. Construction is planned to start in the spring of 2021 and the first students should be able to move in during the summer of 2023.

The project will be order registered in the first quarter 2021.
