Kuststaden acquires and manages rental apartments in attractive locations in medium-sized towns around regional cities with a strong labor market. The coastal city owns just over 2,300 apartments in south-eastern Sweden, including, for example, Visby, Ronneby and Jönköping. The company conducts property management under its own auspices and has an active renovation strategy.
KlaraBos and Kuststaden's property portfolio complement each other and together there are opportunities for value growth through renovation potential of just over 3,000 apartments and a project portfolio of just over 1,000 apartments. KlaraBos and Kuststaden's combined property value will amount to more than SEK 6 billion with more than 5,000 apartments under management.
“We are very pleased with the merger with Kuststaden and welcome all new shareholders to KlaraBo. Our ambition is to become one of the largest listed residential property companies in Sweden. Through the merger with Kuststaden, we almost double KlaraBo's property portfolio with continued focus on renovations and new production. The merger also creates economies of scale ", says Andreas Morfiadakis, CEO of KlaraBo.
“Kuststaden and KlaraBo fit together very well, both the property holdings and the companies' overall strategy regarding geographical focus and property management are similar. We are convinced that the companies will create additional value together and look forward to the continued journey ", says Magnus Johansson, CEO of Kuststaden.
ABG Sundal Collier and Advokatfirman Lindahl have been financial and legal advisers to KlaraBo in connection with the transaction.
