Avensia, which is an expert company in modern retail, with its head office in Wihlborgs’ Posthornet 1 property in central Lund, has grown rapidly in the past few years. The company is now located in such locations as Helsingborg, Stockholm, Oslo and London.
The objective with establishing an office in Malmö is primarily to improve preconditions for recruiting new staff, and to facilitate for the 40 or so employees who already live in Malmö and the surrounding area.
“We are in the midst of a strong growth phase and the new Malmö office will become a key hub both for existing and for new colleagues. Together with Wihlborgs, we are also taking the opportunity to adapt the office to the hybrid work moving forward that is popular with our employees. Rather than a traditional office landscape, the office will be designed as a meeting place that promotes collaboration and social activities,” says Åsa Afshari, Chief People Officer at Avensia.
“It is a privilege to be part of Avensia’s development in all the Swedish locations where we operate. Sparven 15 is a historic property that we have carefully renovated and updated with modern and climate-smart technology, ventilation and cooling,” says Ulrika Hallengren, CEO of Wihlborgs.
Sparven 15 comprises a number of buildings totalling 20,000 square metres. The building that Avensia is now occupying previously housed the game developer Massive Entertainment. Other tenants at the property include Fortnox and the law firm Advokatfirman Wåhlin.
