NCC’s decision to sell NCC NoDig, a trenchless pipe installation solution, is based on it having few synergies with other parts of NCC and the fact that its differs from NCC Infrastructure’s other project activities. The buyer is No Dig Alliance, which conducts trenchless pipe installation operations in Sweden, Norway and Finland.
“With its strong customer base and sector-leading expertise, NCC NoDig will have every opportunity for further development by No Dig Alliance,” says Kenneth Nilsson, Head of NCC Infrastructure.
NCC NoDig has a number of frame work agreements and is specialized in trenchless pipe installation. NCC NoDig is based in Jönköping, Arlöv and Stockholm in Sweden, and in Oslo in Norway. The operations have approximately 90 employees.
“NCC NoDig has first-rate operations in both Norway and Sweden, and is also a perfect fit for No Dig Alliance. The acquisition of NCC NoDig strengthens our expertise, broadens our market and enables us to become more resource efficient,” says Patrik Larsson, CEO of No Dig Alliance.
Financial close of the transaction is expected to have a small positive effect on earnings and cash flow in the NCC Infrastructure business area. The transaction is subject to customary notification to the Swedish Competition Authority and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2022.
