Jordal Amfi was originally built for the Olympic Games in 1952 and is one of Norway’s most well-known sport arenas.

“We are very pleased to have been awarded the contract to construct a new sports arena in the City of Oslo, and we are looking forward to starting the project,” says Marianne Brudevold Eek, Head of Department, NCC Civil Engineering, Infrastructure in Norway.

The construction site will be in line with NCC’s strategy of offering superior sustainable solutions.

“At NCC, we have made substantial progress in the ‘green shift’ and can offer private and public developers a number of sustainable solutions and certifications,” says Marianne Brudevold Eek.

NCC has earlier experience of building sports and cultural arenas in the Oslo area, having constructed Bislett Stadion, Oslo Spektrum and Telenor Arena, among others.

Nye Jordal Amfi will be an ice hockey arena for elite and recreational sports in Oslo, and will be designed as a modern arena for sports and public events, and also feature restaurants, cafes and conference facilities.
