Skanska invests in housing projects in Prague and renovates historic building in Nashville

Nordic — Skanska is investing approximately SEK 480 million in the second stage of the housing project Modransky cukrovar in Prague, Czech Republic. The current phase includes 126 apartments and six commercial premises. Skanska has also signed an agreement with the state of Tennessee for the renovation of the historic War Memorial Building in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. The contract is worth approximately SEK 860 million.

The housing concept in Prague concerns just over 800 apartments in total and is to be delivered in six phases. Construction of the second stage will start in December 2023 and it is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

The Nashville project consists of a complete exterior and interior renovation while maintaining the building's historic integrity. The building is a memorial to the soldiers from Tennessee who died in World War I. Skanska's part of the construction is expected to begin in February 2024 and should be completed in the first quarter of 2026.
