Sweden — Fabege is now strengthening its letting team and has recruited three letting agents, who will join the company this autumn.

Sweden — Fabege and Skanska Sweden are together acquiring approximately 150,000 square metres of land, which has become available as a result of the Mälarbanan railway line being expanded and partly put in a tunnel. This creates the conditions for extensive urban development, with space for 1,000 new homes and 2,000 new jobs next to Solna Business Park and into Huvudsta.

Sweden — The underlying demand for qualitative housing in the right locations in Stockholm is expected to remain strong for a long time to come. Apart from development rights for commercial premises, Fabege has approximately 500,000 sqm of existing residential development rights, primarily in Solna and Huddinge. Monika Mundt-Petersen, in a newly established role, will ensure that Fabege optimises the value creation in relation to these residential development rights.

Sweden — Fred Grönwall is currently Plant Manager for Cementa AB and will replace Anders Borggren, who has chosen to reduce his workload in order to eventually retire. Fred Grönwall will take on his new role at the beginning of the summer and will be a member of the Executive Management Team.

Sweden — Klaus Hansen Vikström has worked as external Vice President and Business Development Manager for Fabege since 2019, but has now decided to fully make the transition to his own business from 1 May 2021.

Sweden — One of Stockholm’s absolutely most prominent streets in combination with a building which has a 100-year history and qualities, made Convendum choose the location for the company’s next grandiose co-working space. Kungsgatan 9 with its almost 7,600 sqm will host everything from an open café in a street environment, to lounges, conference rooms, business service centres and separate areas for smaller companies.

Sweden — CapMan Nordic Real Estate III Fund has agreed to acquire Sadelplatsen 1, a vacant office building in Järva Krog, Solna, from Fabege in an off-market transaction.

Sweden — Fabege and the City of Stockholm have agreed on the granting of a land allocation permit for Hammarby Fabriksväg (Korphoppet 5) which covers up to 33,000 sqm GFA of office space and other business premises. This forms part of the city’s project to connect Hammarbyhöjden and Hammarby Sjöstad. Today, Fabege is the leaseholder of the Korphoppet 5 property.

Sweden — Fabege has started the share buy-back programme approved by the Annual General Meeting on 2 April 2020. The AGM authorised the Board for a period no later than the next AGM to acquire Fabege shares. The shares acquired may not exceed 10 per cent of the total number of outstanding Fabege shares at any time.

Sweden — Fabege acquires property and holding in the consortium SBD from WA Fastigheter.

Sweden — NCC has been commissioned by Fabege to construct a 35,000-square-meter office building next to Arenastaden in Solna, Sweden. The project is a design-build contract in partnering form with an order value of approximately SEK 750 million.

Sweden — The fast-growing Swedish technology company Mentimeter, with over 80 million customers and users in obver 200 countries, is now moving its Swedish headquarters to the architectural gem Tulestationen in Vasastan, central Stockholm.

Sweden — Fabege has acquired Påsen 1 in Hammarby Sjöstad from Capman Nordic Real Estate. It has a lettable area of about 10,000 square meters.

Sweden — The Royal Swedish Opera (Operan) and the Royal Dramatic Theatre (Dramaten) have signed a lease with Fabege to relocate parts of their operations from Gäddviken in Nacka, to Flemingsberg. The lease marks the start of the next phase of Fabege’s urban development plans in Flemingsberg.

Sweden — Areim has acquired one of Stockholm's most famous landmarks, Dagens Nyheter Tower (DN-skrapan), in the centrally located neighborhood of Kungsholmen. The property – Trängkåren 7 – comprises 56 500 square meters, primarily office space. The building was constructed between 1960 and 1964 from drawings by the architect Paul Hedqvist.

Sweden — Fabege has received an upgraded credit rating of Baa2, with a stable outlook, from Moody’s.
