In his position, Malino is responsible for overseeing the service partnerships, management, repair, and modernization of Technopolis’ properties at the Group level. He works closely with local business units in Technopolis’ operating countries, supporting them in matters such as maintenance, repairs, and energy efficiency projects.

Malino has 20 years of experience in the real estate industry. He has previously worked as a Property Manager overseeing major commercial headquarters, and as a senior consultant responsible for property management and long-term planning at Granlund. Malino has previous experience at Technopolis, as he has worked as a Facility Manager overseeing the company's properties in the Greater Helsinki area. Prior to his return to Technopolis, he was Head of Technical Management and a Board Member at Olo Asunnot.

“I am excited to work with office properties again and contribute to developing Technopolis' strong brand. The recent discussion about remote work puts more pressure on property owners to create attractive workplaces that support businesses. My role is to support the implementation of technical systems in work environments, ensuring they meet the requirements for the premises and are cost-effective,” Malino says.

Sustainability is an increasingly important part of Malino's job, as requirements for areas like energy expertise continue to grow.

“Sustainability reporting is going to have an even more significant role in our operations than before. Therefore, the energy data of properties must be as accurate and reliable as possible. We continuously develop measurement tools for our properties, further optimizing our systems. At the same time, we aim to ensure technological functionality, maintain controlled conditions, and improve energy efficiency,” Malino emphasizes.

The sharing of sustainability-related information with Technopolis’ customers will also increase in the future. Malino's responsibilities include strengthening unified operating models for various stakeholders across all Technopolis’ operating countries.

“For properties of different ages and sizes, it is important to find the right balance in the technical specifications and development targets. The purpose of my work is to ensure that the conditions of work environments support the creation of pleasant and comfortable spaces that make people happy to come to the office,” Malino says.

Technopolis has a total of 14 campuses in Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Luxembourg, which host 1,200 customer companies and 35,000 employees.
