Rikshem is expected to take possession of the properties on February 1st 2016.

Included in the deal are 968 apartments in Östersund, 574 in Umeå and 151 in Haparanda. Rikshem will work with management and residential social work just like in the other 20 or so cities they are active in.

– We strongly believe in the development of Norrland and we are very happy to carry through our second large deal in the Northern parts of Sweden in less than six months. The cities Rikshem now enters are interesting from a growth perspective and we look forward to being a part of the development, says Jan-Erik Höjvall, CEO at Rikshem.

Earlier this year Rikshem made their first large deal north of Uppsala when the company purchased approximately 1,600 apartments in Luleå from Lulebo and Luleå municipality.
