So far Og Arkitekter has been a firm consisting of employees originally from three architect firms. The three are Vaardal – Lunde, Ulf Røstøen and the architect firm Wiborg and now they have also acquired the firm Lund & partners.

– We are now a total of 45 employees. I think we now are the largest architecture constellation in Vestlandet, says Lie, who shares that the ambition is to be a markedly office in Bergen.

– We will handle the largest projects and we hope that the expertise we have collected will strengthen our position on the market, says Lie.

A fourth architect firm under the name Og Arkitekter does not mean a buy-in, but more like a fusion.

– This is something we have discussed for a long time and the time had come, says Lie.

He does not deny the fact that it is tough times for the architect industry, but they still decided to make this bet.

– Of course we are curious about the development, but you have to dare to try. The market still exists and the need still exists from housing, schools and other public institutions. We also see that the competition is tough and that many compete over the same projects. We are ready to take on the competition and we have both the competence and capacity to make it, says Lie.

He shares that they among others have seniors that are still active, as well as young and hungry architects.

– This combination makes us very versatile and makes us stronger, says Lie.
