The politicians in Drammen has now agreed to build housing in the historic industrial area Drammen Slip & Verksted.
"Drammen is a fantastic city and we are impressed with how we have been welcomed," says Kim Alexander Larsen, Partner & Head of Development at SPG.
After the City Council on Tuesday 23 March approved the plan that allows between 600-700 homes on 4.5 hectares of land, SPG can now start planning for a start of construction in 2023 and that the first buyers move in already in 2025.
"A lot of time and resources have been invested in this planning process, so now we look forward to getting started. The development will be a boost for Drammen, for the neighborhood and an attractive place to go," Larsen continues.
The development work is divided into five phases. In the first phase, about 150 homes, parks and a promenade accessible to the public will be built. In total, the project will involve investments of approximately SEK 3 billion.
