Gianluca Romano will be based in London and lead the group’s institutional investor client relations and capital raising, as well as advise on product development. He has over 25 years of consulting and investment management experience advising both institutional investors and investment managers in real estate.
Prior to starting at Catella, Gianluca Romano was managing director in JLL’s London office where he served as Global Head of Indirect Capital Research. Prior to JLL, he was a Partner of StepStone Real Estate LLP and of Courtland Partners, Ltd., and also served as a portfolio manager at Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds and at ABN AMRO. Gianluca Romano earned an A.B. in Mathematics and Economics from Duke University, holds a Master in European Integration from the University of Amsterdam, and a Master in Economics from Miami University.
