The company owns two properties located near Økern Centre, in Hovinbyen. The project is called Økern Portal and encompasses 58,000 sqm offices, apartments and commercial properties. One of the buildings will be kept, the others torn down.

“Økern Portal will be a natural passage between Økern and Loren. There will be approximately 3,000 sqm commercial spaces to create life on street level. We want to achieve a mixture of exciting restaurants and shops,” says Richard Groven, Real Estate Manager at Oslo Pensjonsforsikring.

The zoning plan was adopted by the city council in February and the leasing starts now.

“The construction time is two years, and we hope that the construction will be finished in 2019/2020,” says Richard Groven.

The area of use for the preserved building is not yet decided, but apartments are a possibility.
