CC Eiendom, which is owned by the Hage family from Hamar, and which previously owned the shopping centers CC Hamar, CC Gjøvik and CC Mart´n, will receive a 10 percent stake in Scala after this transaction. They will continue to own the aforementioned three centers 100 percent.

"We are buying into a very fine company together with solid co-owners in a segment we know and know well. Through the collaboration, for example at CC Strandtorget in Lillehammer, we have seen what Scala stands for and is made of, so we really believe in," says John Niclas Hage, CEO of CC Gruppen.

Joh. Johannson Eiendom, which is owned by the Johannson family and which invests widely in several real estate segments, will receive a 9.6 percent stake in Scala after this transaction.

"Scala Eiendom is one of the industry's best companies, and we look forward to helping develop the company further together with employees and other owners," says Managing Director Joh. Johannson Eiendom, Morten Nordheim.

Colligo is an investment company owned by the Garder family from Sarpsborg. The company's primary business is property and financial investments. Colligo gets a 6 percent stake in Scala after the transaction.

"We see this as an exciting investment opportunity together with very competent co-shareholders in a solid and forward-looking company," says Working Chairman in Colligo, Bjørn Petter Garder.

Schage Eiendom has probed the market for a possible sale of the stake in the shopping center company. CEO of Schage Eiendom, Matilda Vinje, is very satisfied with both the sale and the new owners.

"For us, this is completely in line with the company's strategy, where we are refining Schage Eiendom's core business, while at the same time ensuring management speed into the new year. We have taken our time with the process, to be completely confident that everything we have been helping to build up will also be well managed in the future. We are sure of that with both new and existing owners," says Vinje.

Existing shareholders Norgesgruppen and Fredriksborg will, after the transaction, have ownership shares of 40.3 percent and 34 percent.

"We, who work here, take the fact that Norwegian investors with long-term faith in both the segment and our company invest in Scala as a great declaration of confidence. We will continue to face tasks and opportunities with the same pace and power as before, and look forward to working with new as well as existing shareholders. I would also like to say a big thank you to Schage Eiendom, who for more than 5 years has been a very professional owner and a good sparring partner for us," says Managing Director of Scala Eiendom, Hans Jørgen Mørland.

As part of the same transaction, Scala Eiendom buys Rortunet Senter in Asker from Schage Eiendom.

"Rortunet is a new and modern center with a great location in Slemmestad, a place we believe will experience growth and development in the coming years. We know the property well, having managed it for Schage since it was completed in 2020," says Hans Jørgen Mørland.

Rortunet center is located in Slemmestad in Asker municipality, and is the local center for Slemmestad and Asker syd (formerly Røyken municipality and Hurumlandet). The center has 41 tenants who in 2023 will have a turnover of around NOK 680 million. Key tenants include Meny, Kiwi, Vinmonopolet, Rusta and Sats. The property is one of very few shopping centers in Norway with the highest environmental certification BREEAM in-use "Outstanding". Following the transaction, Scala Eiendom owns 23 properties with budgeted rental income for 2024 of a total of NOK 830 million. The company specializes in the operation and development of shopping centres. The company is owned by Norgesgruppen, Fredriksborg, CC Eiendom, Joh. Johannson Eiendom and Colligo.
