The Koksa area is over 80 acres and will among other things include the end station for a subway, 2,000 apartments and businesses. The area is defined as the Fornebu city center and is one of the most prioritized urban development areas in the Oslo region.
“The urban development here will play an important part in the future sustainable urban development in the Oslo region and will bind Bærum with Oslo and make Fornebu a local city,” says CEO Baard Schumann at Selvaag Bolig.
The existing buildings in this location consist of four hangars, workshops and warehouses from when Fornebu was an airport. If everything goes according to plan the first houses in the area will be ready for sale in 2020.
Selvaah Bolig will develop the project in a 50/50 cooperation with the Mohn family. Koksa Property was the seller.
