The Optimus area is in central Väsby between the railway and Optimusvägen, just south of Upplands Väsby’s commuter train station. The new zoning for Optimus proposes six new residential housing blocks as well as a preschool and other services and businesses. After the transaction, Alma and Byggvesta continue to own the adjacent Vilunda 6:42 property where the proposed plan is to build around 70,000 square meters of new housing.
‟The acquisition by Väsbyhem enables the municipality to consolidate a large part of their operations within the Optimus area, which is positive for the continued development of this part of the city in the coming years. We look forward to finishing the work on the new zoning plan and being able to bring Optimus to its full potential,” says Stefan Albinsson, Partner and Head of Asset Management at Alma Property Partners.
Väsbyhem took possession of the properties on 5 June 2024.
