Nordic — A brand new hotel chain with Nordic ambitions is the result when Petter Stordalen's Strawberry and property investor Slättö present a new collaboration with a focus on strategic locations, quality and high sustainability. Within ten years, the chain will consist of at least 20 hotels.

Denmark — During the ongoing renovation and repositioning of Hotel Mayfair in central Copenhagen, Pandox has signed a lease agreement with the operator Strawberry and the Hobo brand. Pandox continues to run the day-to-day hotel operations until the renovation project has been completed and the new lease comes into force, which is expected to take place in the second half of 2024. The new lease is revenue-based with an indexed, guaranteed minimum level, and long term.

Denmark — The Norwegian-owned real estate company Strawberry Forever has sold Comfort Hotel Vesterbro in Copenhagen to Barry Sternlicht's Starwood Capital Group.

Norway — The newly established shopping centre company Aurora Eiendom AS acquires Farmandstredet in Tønsberg for NOK 1.8 billion from Steen & Strøm AS. Aurora Eiendom already has five shopping centres worth a total of NOK 4.8 billion in its portfolio.

Norway — Investors Petter A. Stordalen, Lars Løseth, Johan Johannson, Marius Varner and Christian Ringnes invest close to NOK 1 billion in Aurora Eiendom AS, a new shopping centre company. In total, shares valued at NOK 1.377 billion has been subscribed for in the company in a directed issue towards 11 investors.

Denmark — Starwood Capital Group announced today that a controlled affiliate has contracted to acquire the Skt. Petri hotel in Copenhagen from Strawberry Forever for an undisclosed sum.

Nordic — Strawberry group, created by Petter Stordalen, restructures to coordinate the management of hotel properties.

Nordic — Petter Stordalen, owner of Nordic Choice Hotels, acquires Vinggruppen. His company Strawberry makes the acquisition together with Altor and TDR Capital.

Finland — The competition authority has approved Nordic Choice Hotels acquisition of Kämp Collection Hotels. The acquisition of Kämp Collection Hotels, which was previously owned by CapMan Buyout funds and other owners, was finalized on October 9th. The new owner aims at significantly increasing the hotel supply in Helsinki.

Finland — In 2023, 711 new hotel rooms will be opened at Helsinki Airport. Yesterday, the developer LAK Real Estate presented Nordic Choice Hotels as the hotel operator for the two hotels.

Finland — Nordic Choice Hospitality Group has acquired Kämp Collection Hotels, the leading luxury and lifestyle hotel group in Finland, from Capman Buyout funds and other owners.

Sweden — Balder, together with Folkets Hus and the hotel operator Nordic Choice, has entered into an agreement to develop, construct and operate the new hotel at Järntorget in Gothenburg.    

Sweden — Arenastaden is continuing to expand, and demand for hotel rooms now significantly outstrips supply, largely due to growth in Solna’s tourist and hospitality industry quadrupling since the opening of Friends Arena and Mall of Scandinavia. Fabege and Nordic Choice Hotels are now together investing in another hotel in Arenastaden to offer visitors to the district additional accommodation alternatives.

Sweden — Atrium Ljungberg has concluded an agreement with Petter Stordalen's Nordic Choice Hotels for opening a Clarion Collection Hotel in Sickla, Nacka. The hotel will open in the spring of 2020 in the building where Kåbergs started manufacturing wallpaper more than one hundred years ago.

Nordic — Petter Stordalen’s company Strawberry Properties sells five hotel properties to Swedish Midstar. Nordic Choice will continue to be the operator.

Norway — Midstar has acquired Quality Hotel Entry in Kolbotn from Petter Stordalen's Strawberry Properties.
