ELF Development A/S is known in Denmark for developing and building new urban areas in the greater Copenhagen area. By acquiring the rights to build around 20,000 square meters of housing in Limhamns Sjöstad in the municipality of Malmö as well as establishing a new Swedish company ”ELF Development AB” the company is on its way onto the Skåne housing market.

During the Fall of 2016 ELF Development and the Swedish housing developer Bonava, have negotiated the rights to purchase three building sites. Moll Wendén Advokatbyrå and Cushman & Wakefield have assisted with this transaction.

The property on Kajkanten in Limhamn is ready for development with an approved local plan. Partners in this current project are J+S Projektutveckling AB along with the Danish architects JJW who will ensure the completion of the housing project in three phases.

"Kajkanten with 200 units in Limhamn, Malmö, is our first project in Sweden, and we are very thankful to have found such a good location for our entry. Our next step will be to build up a permanent organization in Malmö for developing residential units in Skåne. We have a strong focus on delivering quality architecture and quality apartments to the end users, and we are looking forward to supplying that to the Swedish BRF market in many years to come," says ELF Development CEO Ludvig Find in a comment to Nordic Property News.
