Housing issues are assesed to the Ministry for Finance. The Green Party's Per Bolund has been appointed Minister of Housing and Deputy Minister for Finance, while retaining the position as Minister for Financial Markets. He becomes one of three ministers at the Ministry of Finance together with Minister of Finance Magdalena Andersson (Social Democratic Party) and Minister for Public Administration Ardalan Shekarabi (Social Democratic Party).

Per Bolund, 47, has been in the Riksdag during the periods 2006-2010 and from 2014 onwards. Now he succeeds his party colleague Peter Eriksson as Minister for Housing, the latter instead becomes new Minister for International Development Cooperation.

Per Bolund commented on the appointment on Twitter: "Happy and proud to get continued confidence as Minister for Financial Markets, now with responsibility for housing issues."
